SUMMARY:SEAI Energy Awards
DESCRIPTION:The SEAI Energy Awards recognise and reward excellence in all aspects of energy efficiency and renewable energy. \nApplications are now open and will remain open until June 19th 2020. \nThe 2020 SEAI Energy Awards are now open for applications! The eight categories are open to individuals\, groups or organisations\, public and private sector\, from either the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland. Entries can include any combination of electricity\, heat or transport initiatives. \nWhy enter the SEAI Awards? \nAwards entrants can use the event to showcase their sustainable energy achievements. As a result they can win recognition for their ambitious smart energy solutions and practices. \nAward categories \nThe eight categories for 2020 cover a wide range of areas and activities. They recognise the diverse areas where energy innovation is being undertaken in Ireland. From large business to communities\, they reflect SEAI’s key focus areas. \nShortlisting and judging process \nThe awards are assessed by a distinguished\, independent panel of expert judges. Winning entries go well beyond the norms of sustainable energy best practice. They demonstrate high levels of innovation and strong potential for replication. They also have achieved significant energy demand reduction or clean energy deployment. \nAn expert shortlisting panel will select finalists in each category based on the completed entry forms. All applicants will be notified of the shortlisting outcome. An expert stakeholder judging panel will choose outright winners from these shortlists. This process may include requests for further information by the judging panel. \nThe organisers reserve the right to not confer an award in a particular category where there is an insufficient number of\, or low quality\, entries in that category. \nAwards presentation \nWinners are announced and presented with their award in October. Further details closer to the time.

DESCRIPTION:You know the line. “We have come to value\, responding to change over following a plan.” We knew the line. Until March this year we didn’t really understand the line until our plans for ALI2020 were well and truly scuppered. One of our founding members was sick with this novel virus and we took a tough decision to postpone. We are still\, all\, surviving\, recovering and doing our best. \nALI2020 is about the International Agile and Lean Community coming together\, remotely to do our best.  We believe we are bringing the best speakers in the world to this event. We are proud to say that we have partnered with the charity Camera to help children and teachers in Africa and across the developing world with digital literacy. \nBefore Covid-19\, the theme of our conference was #GoForIt. We were really looking forward to welcoming so many people to Dublin to learn from one another. Now #GoForIt has a new meaning. It is for the brave individuals and companies adapting to new ways of working. It is for the speakers\, sponsors and attendees who will come together virtually on camera for Camera. \nBe the best you can be. Join the digital revolution. See you at ALI2020. #GoForIt. \nDate: Thursday 29th October & Friday 30th October\, 2020 \n\nSpeakers include: \n\nDave Snowden- Cognitive Edge\nJosh Seiden- Seiden Consulting\nJanet Gregory- Agile Testing Fellowship\nDaniel Vacanti- ActionableAgile
