SUMMARY:Mid-West Lean Network Workshop 5: Standard Work
DESCRIPTION:Workshop #5 in the Mid-West Lean Network’s 2020 schedule\, which takes place online\, will focus on: \n Standard Work \nStandard Work outlines the current best known method (or standard) for each step of the production process. This new ‘Standard’ forms a baseline for the process from which all future Kaizen or Continuous Improvement activities are measured. Once improvements are made the new standard becomes the baseline for further improvements and so on\, continuing an endless cycle of improvement. \nIn this webinar\, joint presenters Atlantic Aviaiton Group and Advanced Technical Concepts will provide an insight into how they deploy standard work in their respective organisations and will give an overview of the following points relating to Standard Work: \n\nWhat is Standard Work.\nHow Standard Work has evolved and developed over the years.\nSuccess stories and difficulties encountered using Standard Work\n\nThis session is Free of Charge\, but registrations is essential.  \nLink to join webinar will be shared 24 hours before scheduled time. \nThe Mid-West Lean Network: the second largest regional lean network in Ireland\, after Waterford Institute of Technology’s Lean Enterprise Excellence Group\, launched in November\, was set up to strengthen and increase the existing culture of lean within the Shannon and the wider Mid-West region. Its aim is to enable each industry to broaden and strengthen their competitiveness through knowledge sharing and bench-marking against each other and different industries.

SUMMARY:Energy Efficiency as a Service – Making your ambitious projects happen
DESCRIPTION:AEE Ireland Webinar \nTitle: Energy Efficiency as a Service – Making your ambitious projects happen \nDate: 27th August at 2.00pm \nPresented By: Mark Lynchehaun from Vodafone \nPresented By: Eimear Cahalin from Vivid Edge \nModerated By: Shane Leavy on behalf of AEE Ireland \nAmbitious improvement projects for energy infrastructure frequently don’t happen due to capital constraints; payback is too long\, cash is prioritised for other projects\, and debt is not an option. This webinar will outline the alternative ways to mobilise projects\, and in particular how the “as-a-service” model can be used well beyond the LED lighting field.
