SUMMARY:The Business Case for LEAN Capital project Delivery
DESCRIPTION:In this hands-on workshop\, Paul Ebbs will facilitate a Lean simulation “Make-A-Card” that demonstrates key Lean principles flow\, pull production\, batching\, and continuous improvement. He will also deliver a short presentation on the business case for Lean Capital Project Delivery\, and will be joined by Glenn Ballard and Professor Christine Pasquire for Q&A. Between them they have over 50 years’ collective Lean Construction experience to draw upon. \nAbout the speaker \nPaul is an action-based researcher working with Professor Christine Pasquire at the Lean Project Management Research Group in Nottingham Trent University to design\, develop\, and test a Lean Project Delivery System for a UK based company in a highly regulated engineering sector. \nPaul has trade\, supervision\, and management level experience on a wide range of construction projects. More recently\, he worked with Umstot Solutions\, a US-based Lean coaching and consulting firm helping Architectural\, Engineering\, and Construction (AEC) organisations and teams deliver better project performance and results using a variety of lean construction methods\, including the Last Planner System\, Target Value Delivery\, Alignment Partnering\, Choosing By Advantages\, and Study Action Teams. \nThis Seminar is a free and open event\, however place numbers are limited and it is strictly a ticket-only event. \nThis Seminar Series is brought to you in association with Waterford Chamber Skillnet. \n
