DESCRIPTION:Ireland is not on track to meet mandatory 2020 targets for GHG emissions reduction or for renewable energy. In addition\, Ireland is facing more ambitious targets for 2030 in line with national ambition to transition to a low carbon economy by 2050. \nThis morning event will focus on a number of key short\, medium and long term topics that will address these challenges and inform Ireland’s forthcoming National Energy and Climate Plan. DESCRIPTION:Reducing greenhouse gas emissions\, and adapting to the impacts of inevitable climate change\, are arguably the biggest global challenges we face today. An international consensus on action was reached in Paris in 2015 with many countries introducing national laws to tackle climate change. The UK’s 2008 Climate Change Act was a pioneering commitment to set a legally binding target for reducing national emissions. In this 10th anniversary year of the Act\, how is the UK doing? Is there a gap between action and the target? DESCRIPTION:With the importance of sustainable approaches continuing to increase\, the meat industry needs to continue their focus on optimisation along the production chain. One route to such optimisation involves maximising value within current commercial applications as well as the exploration of novel value-oriented applications. Capitalising on value driven applications for meat processing derived products (including by-products and co-products) provides an avenue to more sustainable processing from both environmental and economic perspectives. \nThis event will have speakers from various backgrounds: research\, industry or government agency. It will provide updates from an industry perspective in addition to a review of the research highlighting potential opportunities in order to move forward. Since then\, it has helped many people who are deafblind and their families in Ireland by funding care\, advocacy and outreach programmes. \nThe foundation was named in tribute to Anne Sullivan (1866-1936)\, the Irish-American teacher\, best known for being the educator and companion of Helen Keller. Helen Keller\, author\, political activist\, and lecturer\, was the first ever person who was deafblind to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. \nThe Anne Sullivan Centre residential service opened in 1996. Staff members works with service users to develop alternative forms of communication such as adapted and formal sign language\, concrete symbols and pictures. Specialist trained staff aim to facilitate our adults to pursue    meaningful\, active and fulfilling lives through a range of leisure   activities and community outings. Since 1997\, the Anne Sullivan Centre has purchased four houses and built two apartments for residents- this reflected an effort to move toward a less institutional model of care and promote the independence of service users. \nSince 2010\, the Anne Sullivan Centre has also provided Outreach\, Day\, Respite\, Training and Advocacy Services \nI’m interested but can’t make the 25th!

Through case-studies and exercises\, you’ll learn how to apply the Lean Six Sigma tools\, originally designed for manufacturing\, into any business\, especially service and office based industries. \nThe second part of this program will require you to complete a project that demonstrates that you have understood and can apply the Lean Six Sigma tools at a Green Belt level. Green Belt projects take approximately 16 hours to complete. Trigraph will provide you with mentoring support from a qualified mentor and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to help you deliver your project.
