DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce our latest Lean Best practise visit to Silver Hill Duck \nSilver Hill Duck is a rapidly growing company that is 70% export led\, supplying its unique duck to 24 countries worldwide including UAE and Singapore. Plans to further unlock the lucrative markets in Hong Kong\, Vietnam\, Malaysia and Indonesia\, and mitigate the challenge of Brexit\, have been realised with the opening of their new €3m state of the art Centre of Excellence facility. \nAs a fully integrated food company Silver Hill has innovated every aspect of the business to create and capture value. Based on genetics and breeding\, they have developed a quality product that has provided unique access to the market. Their deep understanding of and responsiveness to customers is driving the market diversification strategy. The need for competitiveness\, sustainability and employee engagement has always lead Silver Hill duck to put change initiatives at the heart of its business thus reducing wastes and continually driving operational efficiencies. \nWhat you will learn: \nThis visit will be of interest to agri-food companies\, ICT\, engineering\, packaging companies servicing the agri-food sector and others with an interest in sustainability and planning. \nBy bringing your staff into manufacturing environments and seeing best practices conducted and clarified\, you’ll gain an understanding of how to improve your own processes. \nThese visits give you a valuable opportunity to ask managers who have implemented change how it was done\, what the challenges were\, and how they were overcome. In doing so\, you can map out your own strategy for continuous improvement. \nDuring the course of the visit\, Silver Hill will share details on: \n\nManaging rapid growth of the business in international markets\, becoming operationally lean in order to meet the increased demands.\nOur experience of Lean within the food industry\, what has worked for us and what hasn’t\n\nThe visit will also include a tour of the facility and tasting of the #bestduck in the world. \nNumbers are limited to 30 (2 max per company). Each ticket must be processed separately to include attendee names. The hosts reserve the right to approve each attendee. \nImportant ; No access can be granted by the hosts if visitors \n\nHave been in contact with any live poultry in preceding 7 days\nHave visited any country in previous 3 months that was exposed to Corona Virus or Avian Flu\n\nPlease note: No Mobile phones are permitted during the factory tour. As Silver Hill Duck is a food processing plant people wearing Jewelry or nail varnish will not be able to access the plant. Secure facilities will be available for people to store personnel belongings if needed.
