SUMMARY:Dublin Lean Network – What is OEE?
DESCRIPTION:Are you tracking OEE… or just guessing?\nFor many manufacturers\, OEE feels complicated — but it doesn’t have to be.\nNext Tuesday\, we’re running a lunchtime session that breaks it down in a practical\, real-world way. These simple building blocks are not just things that we do\, they are the way we do everything. \nWe will also have the opportunity for breakout rooms to discuss how to put this insight into action in your work\, your team or your wider organisation.[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”25″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”About the speaker” google_fonts=”font_family:Dosis%3A200%2C300%2Cregular%2C500%2C600%2C700%2C800|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][divider line_type=”Small Line” line_thickness=”3″ divider_color=”accent-color”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”full_width_background” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column centered_text=”true” column_padding=”padding-5-percent” column_padding_position=”top” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ top_margin=”30″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text] \nAs an ICF accredited Executive Coach\, Alan Brereton is Chief Operations Officer\, Executive Coach and Faculty member of Kingstown College.  Alan is an Advanced Diploma course lecturer with a BA in Human Resource Management\, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies\, and has studied Luxury Brand Management. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”25064″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”About Kingstown College” google_fonts=”font_family:Dosis%3A200%2C300%2Cregular%2C500%2C600%2C700%2C800|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][divider line_type=”Small Line” line_thickness=”3″ divider_color=”accent-color”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”25065″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][vc_column centered_text=”true” column_padding=”padding-5-percent” column_padding_position=”top” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ top_margin=”30″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text] \nSince 2003\, Kingstown College has been a leading provider of education for coaching\, mentoring\, and leadership. Greatbatch Medical in 2015 \nDuring Noel’s tenure the site achieved the Shingo Bronze Medallion and Irish Medical Technology Company of the Year in recognition of their Operational Excellence Program. The Shingo Prize is widely recognised as the ‘Nobel Prize’ for manufacturing.  Noel is now an examiner for the Shingo Institute and participates in assessing sites globally on a regular basis. \nHe was awarded his MSc in Lean Operations from Cardiff University in 2007 and his Doctorate in Business Administration from Waterford Institute of Technology in 2017.  The focus of Noel’s doctoral thesis was exploring the relationship between Employee Engagement and Continuous Improvement.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”full_width_background” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” enable_gradient=”true” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”padding-10-percent” column_padding_position=”left” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” text_align=”left”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/1″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”24577″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In From Left” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][divider line_type=”No Line”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]Noel’s search for best practice has seen him participate in global benchmarking visits to Europe\, the US\, India\, and Japan.  He is a very passionate advocate of the transformational power of Lean and the Shingo Model in particular as he feels this places the emphasis on the behaviours and systems required for sustainable transformation. \nIn November 2021 Noel co-authoring Human Lean with John Bicheno (Author of The Lean Toolbox). Developing this culture requires challenging people and partners to grow\, thereby adding value to the business\, and driving organisational learning.\n[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”25″][vc_column_text]In early 2009\, Tosara Pharma Ltd looked for the ideal roadmap to improve business performance\, and decided to embrace the guiding principles that are described within the Shingo Model ®. \nThe first dimension requires creating an ideal culture\, whereby employees feel energised\, engaged and motivated to succeed. SUMMARY:Cancelled-Dublin Lean Network - Best Practice Site Visit - Alexion Dublin
DESCRIPTION:-Unfortunately we are going to have to postpone our Best Practice visit planned for this Friday. With the potential risks Alexion’s manufacturing facilities posed by the recent Covid-19 outbreak\, we are aiming to minimize the flow of people into Alexion’s facilities\, this is being done to ensure the continued supply of their medicines to patients. This is a proactive step we have decided to take in order to reduce the risk to Alexion’s manufacturing facilities. We apologise for the late cancellation of the visit and hope to re-schedule in the near future.- \n  \nThis event will highlight the journey undertaken by Alexion in Ireland to bring about a step change in their manufacturing process. From generating ideas\, developing a culture open to change and showcasing success stories. \nParticipants will gain an understanding of what it is like to begin a Lean Journey and will learn from people who have gone through the process. \nThis event is recommended for any company in the Dublin area that is looking to kick off a lean manufacturing process and is struggling to figure out how. \nPlease note\, spaces are limited to two people per company. If you are interested in attending\, please fill out the Expression of Interest form and we will be in contact to confirm your attendance.
